My name is Ruth, and I’m from Nigeria.
For me, growing up was not fun at all. I was bullied and I was not shown love from parents. They said they loved me but I was always treated different from my siblings.
I went through a horrifying experience, and came to the UK to find a better life. When I first came I thought the UK was beautiful.
I am still in the process of applying for asylum. The wait is long but I am really hopeful for the future. My next step will be to get to work and learn more.
I am proud to be me because I am strong willed.
